As an adult, knowing where to start may be your biggest hurdle to going to college – especially if it's been several years since you've been in school. Follow these steps to get on the right track.

Determine what to study

Selecting a field of study requires a great deal of consideration. What are your skills and interests? What do you enjoy doing? Ask your college about career assessment tools they offer. Tools are also available through the Nebraska Career Connections Web site.


Think again. A head count of undergraduate students in Nebraska shows that 9% are between 25 and 29 years old, and 19% are over age 30.
