Millard North High School to Host May 1 College Fair
"College Affaire" will help juniors, sophomores start college search efforts
(LINCOLN Neb. April 13, 2006) – EducationQuest Foundation and the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC) will sponsor the Omaha College Affaire Monday, May 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Millard North High School. This college fair will feature representatives from over 100 colleges and universities.
The Omaha College Affaire is designed to help high school juniors and sophomores begin their college search efforts, although all students are welcome to attend. The event will be held in the Millard North High School gym at 144th & Pacific Streets in Omaha. It will also feature financial aid presentations at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
EducationQuest provides these tips to help students make the most of their college fair visit:
- Before you attend, prepare a list of questions for school representatives. Ask about application deadlines and scholarships.
- Determine what you want from a school. This helps you rule out some colleges and look more closely at others. Take notes to keep track of schools that interest you.
- Prepare pre-printed labels with your name and address to stick on information cards at the college booths where you want additional information. This saves time as you complete the information cards.
