EducationQuest Foundation
KnowHow2GONebraska

Big dreams and good grades aren't enough to get into college. That's why EducationQuest Foundation is proud to sponsor the KnowHow2GONebraska campaign to help your 8th – 10th grade clients learn the steps needed to make college a reality.

Department of Education studies show that 8 out of 10 students expect to earn a bachelor's degree – but few know what it takes to fully prepare for college. In response, KnowHow2GO took the extensive to-do list for college planning and created four simple steps that students can follow — with the help of an adult.

The steps are:

  1. Be a pain – in a good way. Ask an adult to help you with college planning – and keep asking until you find someone who will.
  2. Push yourself. Take rigorous coursework in high school and get involved in extracurricular activities.
  3. Find the right fit. Research colleges that match your career interests and skills.
  4. Get your hands on some cash. Apply for scholarships and financial aid

KnowHow2GO is sponsored nationally by the American Council on Education, Lumina Foundation for Education, and the Ad Council – and in Nebraska by EducationQuest Foundation.

If your agency serves 8th-10th grade students and their parents, EducationQuest would like to list you as a resource for students who can’t find an adult to help guide them to college. If interested, contact Tricia Dunn, EducationQuest Director of Media Relations, at 800-303-3745, ext. 6666 or triciad@educationquest.org.

Please join EducationQuest in promoting KnowHow2GO by ordering and distributing free KnowHow2GO materials to your 8th – 10th grade clients.
