College Access Training

EducationQuest Foundation will conduct free College Access Training for community agency staff in June at locations across the state. Learn how you can help your clients achieve their educational goals. The sessions are:

  Help your clients get free money for college with helpful scholarship tips and information about EducationQuest's Reaching Your Potential scholarship.

11:00 am – 11:45 am Building Bridges: Transition from High School to College for Students with Disabilities
  Presented by: WIN-AHEAD (Western Iowa and Nebraska Association of Higher Education and Disability) Staff
  Discover ways to help your clients with disabilities prepare for transition issues and for the challenges of higher education.

Session 6
12:45 pm – 1:30 pm Educational Outcomes and Resources for Youth in Foster Care
  Presented by: Nebraska Children and Families Foundation and the Foster Youth Council
  This interactive discussion will explore college access barriers facing foster youth and resources available to them. Co-presented by foster care youth, you will learn first-hand about their unique challenges.

1:45 pm – 3:00 pm Federal Financial Aid Update
  Presented by: EducationQuest Staff
  By understanding the types of financial aid and how to apply, you can help your clients find money to finance higher education.
