GuidelinesAward amounts should range from $300 - $2,500. All scholarship money must be applied toward tuition, fees or books. The recipients must not currently be in default on a Title IV student loan or owe a repayment on a Title IV grant. Recipient selection must be nondiscriminatory.
EducationQuest strongly encourages consideration for:
- Under-represented minority students.
- Students who face significant obstacles to higher education.
In addition, students must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need as defined by Title IV regulations,
- Nebraska residency,
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency,
- Enrolled at least half-time, and
- Undergraduate status.
Each college must fully expend its allotment by June 30.

Reporting Requirements
Each college is required to submit an online
verification report that includes:
- Recipient SSN, Name, Address and Phone
- Award Amount
- Disbursement Date
- Race/Ethnicity (if known)
- Aggregate Income and EFC data
The verification report is necessary for EducationQuest's own reporting requirements. To submit the report, log on to the Award Management System . Reports must be submitted no later than March 1 each year.
EducationQuest reserves the right to hold or terminate future disbursements from the EducationQuest Scholarship Program if the college does not comply with reporting requirements.
By accepting this scholarship money, the college agrees to allow EducationQuest to audit, if necessary, the scholarship awards to ensure proper distribution of funds. EducationQuest reserves the right to request full restitution and/or terminate future participation in the program if the college does not abide by the awarding guidelines.
